CEO says SPIMEX to suggest owners consider floatation by 2024

MOSCOW, Jan 14 (PRIME) -- The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) plans to suggest the shareholders discuss an initial public offering (IPO) by the end of 2023, CEO Alexei Rybnikov told reporters on Tuesday.

“Concerning an IPO, we wrote roughly the following in the strategy and told the shareholders and members of the board of directors about them naturally: we will suggest the shareholders (consider) the viability or non-viability of turning the company into a joint-stock firm closer to the end of fulfillment of the strategy, and it will last through 2023, I remind you,” Rybnikov said.

He said that the company’s financials will grow in the period, but can be lower than necessary for a floatation.
